Liberation of New Oxford

Are you studing World War 2 this year?  Or maybe you have in the past and someone is really into it.  Then check out the Liberation Of New Oxford being held 9/16-9/17 2016.  Teh festivies kick off on Friday evening with a USO styled show to be held at 124 Peters St. from 7-10.

The Saturday morning watch New Oxford square be liberated.  My family only ends up cathcing the ending of this but it’s been great what small parts we have seen.

On September 17 and 18, 2016, the National Park Service will sponsor a World War II living history weekend at the Eisenhower National Historic Site with authentic recreations of Allied and German army camps, complete with original World War II vehicles. Several hundred living history enthusiasts from over forty organizations will portray military personnel from the European Theater in 1944.

Could be a great educational and fun weekend.
